The Laboratory of Biological and Molecular Anthropology Represented the Department at "Příběh potravin 2026"
The popular science outreach event for the public, subtitled Science in the Fields and Barns, is traditionally organized by the Institute of Animal Science (VÚŽV) at its farm in Prague-Netluky/Uhříněves. At the beginning of June, our colleague Lenka Falk also took part in the 14th annual edition of the event, where she prepared two interactive activities.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore the inheritance of bitter taste perception and, through a hands-on demonstration using skeletal material, learn about the dentition types of selected animals in relation to their diets.
We would like to thank Lenka for representing our department.

The awarded scientists received the medal during a personal audience at the Archbishop’s Palace in Olomouc at the beginning of May.
