Information on the Assignment of Bachelor’s Theses for the Specialization in Human Biology and Paleogenetics
After the 4th semester of the bachelor’s study, the student chooses a bachelor’s thesis topic or contacts a potential supervisor. It is also possible to arrange supervision with an external supervisor. The list of possible supervisors for the bachelor’s specialization in Human Biology and Paleogenetics from LBMA is as follows:
- doc. RNDr. Eva Drozdová, Ph.D.
- Mgr. et Mgr. Lenka Falk, Ph.D.
- Mgr. Dana Buriánková Fialová, Ph.D.
- Mgr. Eva Chocholová
Once the student has chosen or agreed on a topic, they should contact doc. Eva Drozdová. The deadline for selecting topics for the academic year 2025/2026 is September 10, 2025. After that, topics will be approved by the Section of Genetics and Molecular Biology and published in the Information System (IS). The preferred language for theses is Czech. Writing in Slovak is allowed only if the supervisor or consultant is from Slovakia. Writing in English is also permitted only with justification. If a student still wishes to write their thesis in Slovak or English, it is necessary to formally request this option from Vice-Dean RNDr. Pavel Lízal, Ph.D.

Information on the Assignment of Master’s Theses for the Human Biology Program
In the 1st semester of the follow-up master’s study, the student chooses a topic for their master’s thesis or contacts a potential supervisor. It is also possible to arrange supervision with an external supervisor. The list of possible supervisors for the master’s program in Human Biology from LBMA is as follows:
Once the student has chosen or agreed on a topic, they should contact doc. Eva Drozdová. The deadline for topic selection for the academic year 2025/2026 is September 10, 2025. After that, topics will be approved by the Section of Genetics and Molecular Biology and will be published in the Information System (IS). The preferred language for the theses is Czech. Writing in Slovak is only allowed if the supervisor or consultant is from Slovakia. Writing in English is also allowed only upon justification. If the student still wishes to write the thesis in Slovak or English, an official request for this possibility must be submitted to Vice-Dean RNDr. Pavel Lízal, Ph.D.
